RAY T NISWANDER
Ray T. Niswander, age 90, was born on September 20, 1923 in Cooper, West Virginia and passed away on October 1, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he has resided for 40 years. He served in World War II and was in four invasions while there. He retired from Clark County Road Department. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene; his sister Alice and brother Kenneth; and many many nieces and nephews. Ray will be missed dearly.

NISWANDER, Mr. Walter Lee, 95, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018. Funeral services for Mr. Niswander will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 31, at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Niswander was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a commercial, portrait, and landscape artist, while also producing angus cattle. He was also deeply interested in both history and politics, and thoroughly enjoyed cultivating multiple varieties of grapes. Mr. Niswander was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Allen Niswander; parents, Thomas and Jennie Niswander; two sisters, Audrey Schrader and Virginia Peters; and four brothers, Hughey Niswander, Denny Niswander, Woodrow Niswander, and Budgie Niswander. He is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Violet Dillon Niswander; five children, Roger (Esther) Niswander, Cheryl (Edward) Hendrickson, Stephen Niswander, Mark (Brenda) Niswander, and Pam (Butch) Speed; ten grandchildren, Lisa (Ryan) Henderson, Lori (Clark) Ray, Thomas Niswander, Tracy Niswander, Michelle (Chris) McElligott, Emilee Speed, Jennifer Niswander Johnson, Malia (Kyle) Rowland, Dylan (Lauren) Niswander, and Keilani Niswander; ten great-grandchildren; and his sister, Helen Farris. Active pallbearers will be Thomas Niswander, Tracy Niswander, Logan McElligott, Ryan Henderson, Clark Ray, and Chris McElligott. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either Rock Hill Baptist Church, Chapel Hill Baptist Church, or First Baptist Church of Luverne. They will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 - 11 AM.
